I am excited to announce that on April 24th and 25th Beth Clary Schwier and I will be participating in the 2015 Raymond James Stutz Artists Open House. Our gallery, A 340, in the Stutz Business Center, will be open for art, food, and drink provided by Fountain Square Brewery.
“More than 70 artists will open their studios to visitors during the 2015 two-day event. It is not only an opportunity to see the work of 70+ local artists in one place at one time, it is a chance to see where and how the work is created. Artwork ranges from paintings, drawings and photography, to sculpture, jewelry and furniture.” - Stutz Business Center
This will be the first Open House for Beth and I since we opened our humble studio with Beth's husband Randy. We are quite excited to see everyone there while displaying our work in our new studio space. Beth is an extremely talented painter that is featured in galleries all over Indiana. She is racking up painting awards quicker than I can keep track! Recently she started collaborating with me and painting some of my photographs. I am totally blown away at seeing my work turned into paintings through her brushstrokes. Below are a few examples of my photographs and her oil based interpretations of them. Photos don't give justice to the paintings and their depth of texture - you must come to A 340 and see them in person.
Our good friends at Fountain Square Brewery are providing drinks for our gallery during the Open House weekend. These guys are very supportive of local Indy artists and have been serving our community for a while now. Check them out on Facebook and be sure to share some love back. They even have a gallery in their brewery and bar located at 1301 Barth Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46203.
Randy operates Green Gables Farm Vintage Store and a selection of his collection is on display in the studio. His pieces can certainly satisfy anyone’s vintage bug.
